As you have probably realised my name is Lianne. I am 25 years old and love animals. My black lab (Zorba) was put to sleep on March 26th 2007.  Zorba had a tumour and could not urinate any longer, there was no surgery that could cure him. The tumour had wrapped itself around his urination tube inside, so any surgery was impossible.  The rest of his body was working brilliantly.  It was a very traumatic time in my life as I was so close to him and had been from a young girl. Also it was all very sudden, from one day not being able to urinate to 2 weeks later being put to sleep.

I missed the comfort of being around him and the unconditional love he offered, sleeping in the same bed, walking him and all the funny things we did together. I do not feel ready to replace him just yet but am quiet happy to give my love to other dogs and animals.

When my job went into administration I decided to look into animal care so I had the chance to be with beautiful loving creatures 24/7 but not replace Zorba. I have also had lots of other pets. When I was younger I had a pet Gerbil named Sky, a rescued Rabbit named Chleo, 2 goldfish named Bill and Ricky (as I got them from Billericay) and lastly 2 stick insects which I never named for some odd reason!

This is my story and I hope you can see that I love all animals and really enjoy being around them, wanting the best for their welfare and basically wanting all animals to be happy and have a exciting and full life. I get so much out of being around animals that it makes me feel so alive after I have been in their company and from seeing their happiness and excitment it makes me feel great.
